Nine bandits are eliminated by troops in fierce battles in Kaduna State.
The Kaduna State Government said on Thursday that the army high command had informed them that forces had killed nine bandits in a bloody encounter.
In a statement, Kaduna State’s Samuel Aruwan Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs confirmed that numerous bandits’ hideouts had been cleared and that numerous kidnapped women and children had been freed.
In ferocious clashes in a few sites in Giwa LGA, Nigerian Army troops and special forces made considerable progress in continuing offensives by neutralizing a total of nine bandits.

He claimed to have cleared a bandit camp along a river’s edge near Rafin Sarki and killed five of the local bandits while many more escaped.
The Army and Special Forces cleared a hideaway in the Galadimawa woodland, where four bandits were fought and neutralized, in another leg of the violent confrontation.
The military rescued more than a dozen abducted women and children when their kidnappers abandoned them.

According to him, soldiers found five locally produced rifles, five rounds of ammo, four cartridges, a radio and charger, and one jungle helmet from the military.
He claims that Governor Nasir El-Rufai commended the police and soldiers for their ongoing efforts and complimented them for their achievements, including the successful rescue of the victims.
The Kaduna State Government is requesting residents to keep providing details on bandits, their hideouts, informants, and logisticians.
