Loss of media assistant for Senate President Isa Mohammed

According to an official, the Special Assistant to the President of the Senate on Media passed away on Friday.

Isa passed away while receiving treatment for injuries sustained in an auto accident on Minna-Suleja Road in Niger, according to a statement made on Saturday in Abuja by Mr. Ola Awoniyi, the Special Adviser on Media to the Senate President.

He said, “With submission to God’s will, we deeply regret to announce the death of Mohammed Abdulkadir Isa, Special Assistant on Media to President of Senate.

According to Awoniyi, the dead has been buried according to Islamic customs in Funtua, Katsina State.

The tragic death of Isa was lamented by the President of the Senate, who called it a great loss and described it as shocking and heartbreaking.

He claimed that Isa was very committed to his work, never let down, and was a true professional in his line of work as a journalist.

Lawan expressed his condolences for the incident to the government and people of Katsina State as well as to his family, coworkers on staff, and the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ).

“He prayed to Allah to give his family the strength to endure the irreparable loss, to pardon his transgressions, and to grant him Aljannah Firdaus.

Isa worked as a reporter for the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) before Dr. Olusola Saraki, the former Senate President, appointed him as a media assistant.

After Ahmed Lawan took over as Senate President in place of Saraki, the appointment was extended.
