Despite the crisis, the PDP will shock Nigerians in 2023.

According to former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, will shock Nigerians in the forthcoming general elections in 2023 despite the present internal turmoil the major opposition party is going through.

This was spoken by Saraki on Monday at the Ilorin Central Jumat Mosque immediately after the prayer for his late father, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki, on the occasion of his tenth memorial anniversary.

The PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and the G-5 governors, headed by Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, he said, will soon reconcile and put their political issues behind them.

We shall surprise Nigerians, said the former two-term governor of Kwara state. Together, we will try to improve Nigeria’s situation. Our is so that we may all consider what is best for this nation. Take a look at the destitution on the street. Take a look at how poorly government has performed.

Because Nigerians want the PDP to retake power, we will prioritize serving them. We will settle the little differences between Governor Wike and Alhaji Abubakar, and ultimately, whether Wike or anybody else, all of us in the PDP want a better Nigeria, he said.

It was difficult for Saraki to persuade me to enter politics at the time, he claimed. It was a struggle, and I fought against it. Today, though, I realize that seeing others’ growth provides the greatest sense of fulfillment.

“As his children, the only thing we can do is carry on his legacy of ensuring that people’s lives are improved and standing out for the truth. Even though it might be challenging to speak up for the truth, I’m determined to fight for a better Kwara.

At the memorial prayer, dignitaries included Senator Gbemisola Saraki, the minister of state for mining and steel development, Abdulfatah Ahmed, the former governor of Kwara State, Abubakar Kawu Baraje, and Bolaji Abdullahi, the former minister of youth and sports.

Others were Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, Hon. Bio Ibrahim, Prof. Ali Ahmad, former Kwara State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Babatunde Mohammed, the state PDP head, and Senator Saraki’s wife, Toyin.

The PDP’s nominee for governor of Kwara state in 2023 and his running mate, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdullahi and Hon Gbenga Makanjuola, also attended the memorial service.
