CSO denies murdering 30 people on the Plateau. LG

The Conflict Management Mitigation Regional Council (CMMRC) has denounced the vicious attacks that resulted in the deaths of over 30 people in Bokkos Local Council in Plateau State, particularly women and children.

The Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) also denounced the slaughter of farm animals and food in a weekend interview with The Guardian.

Sadeeq Hongs, the secretary of the CMMRC, urged the state government to look into the murders of innocent people in order to bring those responsible to justice.

He claims that the NGO encourages people to express their complaints about the state of affairs in their areas while remaining calm, upholding law and order, and acting peacefully.

“We sympathize with those who lost loved ones and feel their sorrow. We sympathize with them and ask God to strengthen and soothe them.

In keeping with the Plateau’s motto, “Home of Peace and Tourism,” Hongs emphasized, “we demand that all security personnel, individuals, and government authorities in Plateau should promote and preserve peace, and we pray to God for wisdom, courage, and willingness to do what is right to achieve peace and tranquility throughout the state.

He claims that since the beginning of October, armed bandits thought to be herdsmen have killed no less than 30 people in Bokkos.

The attackers claimed that an innocent Fulani woman was butchered by the locals, and the figure included the nine people killed on Tuesday, November 22.

The above figure, Hongs continued, was trivial if all the murders in Bokkos were accurately recorded.
