BREAKING!!! Olisa Metuh Quits the PDP

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national publicity secretary Olisa Metuh has left the organization.

Metuh argued that by remaining impartial, he would improve Nigeria’s government more.

Metuh bemoaned the style of politics in Nigeria in a letter to the national chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu.

He emphasized that he is no longer able to take part in political politics.

As said by Metuh:

“I realized that I can no longer play party politics in Nigeria during my three-week vacation for personal and physical reasons.

“The rationale for my choice is because, based on my experience and my knowledge of Nigerian politics and development, I feel that, by remaining impartial, I would be able to do more to advance Nigeria’s democracy and system of good government.

In light of this, I officially tell you in the following letter of my resignation from the PDP and end to partisan politics.

I have sent a copy of my resignation to my ward chairman in accordance with the PDP’s bylaws.

He was charged in 2016 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with fraud totaling allegedly N400 million.

Metuh was charged by the EFCC with receiving the sizable money from the former NSA’s office.

Metuh, however, insisted that his old administration had gathered the funds and utilized them to conduct the election while denying having done so.

The former PDP spokesperson was found guilty on seven charges of money laundering in 2021 despite his denials and received a jail term.
