Army General Killed by Drunk Soldier in Lagos

According to reports, Corporal Abayomi Ebun, a young soldier in the Nigerian Army, was detained after killing Brigadier-General Audu Ogbole James, an army general, in Lagos.

In the early hours of Tuesday, November 15, 2022, Abayomi reportedly crashed the army general to death with his car while intoxicated.

The deceased was the Director of Finance at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Center before to his passing (NAFRC). He passed away yesterday night after being struck by the suspect’s car.

According to a story made public by Premium Times, the corporal who was driving his automobile while intoxicated hit the deceased as he was making his way to his apartment inside the NAFRC barracks.

The victim was taken urgently to the NAFRC Medical Center, where the doctor pronounced him dead. As of the time this story was being written, the corporal had been arrested.
