President Muhammadu Buhari commiserates with families, friends and associates of victims of the Bell 206 helicopter operated by Quorum Aviation which crashed Friday into a building in Opebi, Lagos State.

While the nation awaits report of investigation into the accident by aviation regulatory agencies, the President prays that God will console the bereaved families, grant peace to the souls of the dead and speedy recovery for the injured.

GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU COMMISERATES WITH FAMILIES OF HELICOPTER CRASH VICTIMS

Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu has commiserated with families, friends and associates of the victims of the unfortunate helicopter crash in Opebi, Lagos.

In a condolence message signed on his behalf by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile on Friday, Governor Sanwo-Olu promised that his Government would work with all the relevant Federal Government agencies to unravel the remote and immediate cause of the accident so as to prevent a re-occurrence in the future.

The Governor advised residents of Opebi and its surrounding to go about their business peacefully saying, “there is nothing to fear as men and officers of the State emergency services were promptly deployed to the scene of the crash and they had brought everything under control.

The environment is also safe and secure.”

The Governor prayed that God would grant the deceased eternal rest and grant the families they left behind the fortitude the bear the irreplaceable loss.

TINUBU COMMISERATES WITH VICTIMS OF LAGOS HELICOPTER CRASH

All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has commiserated with families, relations, and friends of those who lost their lives in the crash on Friday, in a helicopter belonging to Quorum Aviation.

The former governor of Lagos state also wished the survivor a speedy recovery.

The helicopter crashed into a building in Salvation Street in Opebi area of Lagos State.

Tinubu, in a statement by Tunde Rahman, his Media Aide, also asked the aviation authorities to investigate the cause of the crash.

The statement reads: “While calling on the aviation authorities to investigate the cause/s of the crash, Tinubu prays that Almighty Allah console the families of the victims of the crash and grant the deceased eternal rest.

“He wishes the survivor of the crash soonest recovery”.

BREAKING: THIRD PERSON ONBOARD HELICOPTER CRASH DIES IN HOSPITAL

INDEPENDENT can confirm authoritatively that the third cabin crew onboard the Bell 206 B3 helicopter owed by Quorum Aviation Services that crashed at noon today has died in an undisclosed hospital.

A source close to the airline confided in our correspondent a few minutes ago that the victim died due to complications arising from the crash.

The source gave the names of the victims as Capt. Chika Prudence Ernest, Engr. Clement Ndiok, an ex- Bristow Helicopter engineer and a fitter.
