Traditional Leaders Back Governor Abiodun’s Reelection Campaign.

Traditional leaders in Ogun’s Ijebu-North Local Government Area have endorsed Gov. Dapo Abiodun’s candidacy for reelection and given him their full support.

This was disclosed by Mr. Kunle Somorin, the governor’s chief press secretary (CPS), on Saturday in a statement made accessible to newsmen in Abeokuta.

Somorin said that at a meeting with the governor held in the Oba’s Palace in Ijebu-Igbo, the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, Oba Lawrence Adebajo, made the commitment on behalf of other traditional leaders.

As the effects of democracy were being felt in many areas of the state during the last three years of the governor’s term, Adebajo said that the governor had shown excellent leadership and performance.

“Gov. Abiodun has accomplished a lot in less than four years,” he remarked. His job has served as a campaign for him, even without the fact that it is customary for persons seeking political office to do so.

He pointed out that the majority of the initiatives the governor started were finished in his first four years, therefore we need him to finish the ones that are still in progress.

We applaud you for building the Ilisan-Ago-Iwoye road, governor.

“I haven’t driven that route in a while, but several individuals recently convinced me to, and I was pleasantly pleased to see the degree of work done on that road.

I can guarantee you that we would back you for the second term. Your accomplishments are outstanding, he said.

The Orimolusi urged the authorities to investigate the town’s water supply issue.
