In Kaduna, troops kill four bandits and retrieve firearms.

Four bandits were neutralized by Operation Forest Sanity (OPFS) troops during clearance operations in hideouts near Tsohon Gayan, Chikun Local Council, Kaduna State.

Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, announced this yesterday and mentioned that the soldiers had captured an AK-47 rifle from the bandits.

The commissioner claimed that the troops made contact and pursued the evading bandits, adding that two of them were killed during the conflict while two others perished from gunshot wounds, according to reliable human intelligence sources.

“Reliable sources in the region said that Dogo Mallam and Bello Mallam had been named as two of the four neutralized. One motorcycle, one magazine with 22 rounds of ammunition, and one AK-47 rifle were all found by the troops.

“Governor Nasir el-Rufai expressed satisfaction with the report and commended the soldiers for their tenacity and bravery in the most recent victory.

Clearance activities will continue there and in other places, according to Aruwan.
