Government of Yobe State Moves To Establish Hisbah Police

The governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has said that Hisbah Police would be established by his government in order to efficiently meet the requirements of orphans and other vulnerable groups in the state.

At the second round of distributing ten million naira to 200 orphans in the state, the governor made this disclosure.

He said, “We are going to create Hisbah Corps to promote the welfare of orphans, particularly their education and health in an effort to safeguard their future.

Buni also made a suggestion that the Hisbah Corps would be required to plan large weddings for less fortunate orphans around the state.

“Our choice to help widows, orphans, and other vulnerable populations is to provide them a start-up capital for independence.

“We must work together to support those who lost their parents while taking into account the decade-long insurgency experienced across the state,”

Added he.

However, Buni instructed the State Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment Generation to empower 400 mothers of the program’s beneficiaries right now so they can become independent.

Ustaz Babagana Mallam Kyari, the program’s coordinator and the governor’s special adviser on religious matters, praised Governor Buni for his ongoing attention to the suffering of orphans and widows in the state.
